2015: No Vacancy In Creek Haven, Aso Rock
~Inokoba, PDP Chairman Tells Other Aspirants, Opposition
By John Odhe
Dr. Goodkuck Jonathan and Governor Seriake Dickson will glide to victories in the 2015 as President of Nigeria and Governor of Bayelsa respectively unperturbed.
This is the view of the Bayelsa State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Col. Sam Inokoba (rtd).
Col. Inokoba was speaking in Yenagoa last Monday after rising from a PDP caucus meeting which was attended by the state Governor, Chief Seriake Dickson and other party chieftains at the party’s secretariat.
According to the PDP Chairman, the duo of President Jonathan and Governor Dickson have proved through their antecedents and performances in their respective offices that they would be the candidates to beat if they declare for a second term in 2015.
He claimed that the reforms in the aviation and railway sectors as well as massive infrastructural development going on across the country coupled with the professional manner with which the northern insurgency was being handled has placed President Jonathan above all his political rivals.
In Bayelsa, the PDP Chairman said it would amount to futility and waste of time and resources for any politician to vie against Governor Dickson whom he said has already written his name in the hearts of every Bayelsans through what he described as radical development of all sectors of the state.
He advised those who are nursing the idea of contesting with Governor Dickson come 2015 to rather join the restoration train to avoid a colossal defeat.
On the just concluded governorship election in Ekiti State, Col. Inokuba remarked that the victory was a positive signal that the Peoples Democratic Party was going to reclaim all the western states of Nigeria.
The former Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Peremobowei Ebebi and the Speaker of the State House of Assembly Kombowei Benson were among PDP chieftains that attended the caucus meeting.
