BAYELSA MONTHLY PRAISE NIGHT: YOU HAVE TO BE FULLY INVOLVED IN THE ELECTORAL PROCESS AND ENSURE THAT CREDIBLE LEADERS EMERGE ….GOV DICKSON TO THE CLERGY
The clergy in Bayelsa State have been urged to be fully involved in the electoral process, as to ensure the emergence of credible political leaders, who mean well for the development of the State.
Governor Seriake Dickson, who made the call on Wednesday at the monthly Bayelsa Praise Night at the King of Glory Chapel, Government House, Yenagoa, emphasised the need for all Bayelsans to collect their permanent voter cards (PVCs)
He was of the opinion that, the PVC is what will enable every eligible voter to exercise his or her franchise, urging Bayelsans to vote massively for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan in the March 28th, 2015 presidential election.
The Bayelsa State Governor enjoined the people of the State to always realise the importance of peace as well as live peacefully with one another within their family circles, communities and the leaders of the State.
“Everyone should realise the importance of peace by showing to one another, our families, communities, the state and most especially the leaders of the state the need to live in peace.
He further warned Bayelsans to be mindful of their actions and utterances, especially at such a critical moment in the nation’s political history, with elections around the corner.
“People should be careful of what they say or do to the government, the state and nation, especially at this critical point of politicking for the forthcoming election”
In his sermon, where dwelled on the wonders of praise, the state Pastor of the Christ Crusaders Church, Rev. Moses Imote, described praise as an amplified form of prayer and called on Christians to always praise and honour God to attract greater blessings.
pointed out that, in his Sermon, from the books of 2ndChronicle 20:1-20, Psalm 34:1-3; 149:3; 69:4-6, spoke on the wonders of praise.
Drawing inspiration from the books of 2nd Chronicle, chapter 20, verse 1 – 20 and psalms 34, 149 and 69, Rev. Imote, pointed out that, prayer brings down angels, but praise brings down God to battle the enemy in time of war or attack.
Highpoint of the praise night was Choir ministrations by the Diamond voices, Saint Luke Chaplaincy, Niger Delta University, Amassoma, King of Glory Chapel and Praise instrumentalist- Mr Gift.
