Matchday 8 of the ongoing Governor Seriake Dickson Football Tournament tagged The Restoration Cup 2015, on wednesday, produced another record, with jersey No. 7 of Oko-Safa Football Club of Kolga, Ebiowei Ike, scoring the fastest goal so far.
Ebiowei Ike scored in 35 seconds after kick-off, against Aago Pillars at the Opukuma centre, which is hosting the tournament for the first time.
Oko-Safa FC could not hold unto the one-nil advantage, as their opponent Aago Pillars, pressed on for an equalizer, and finally got one through their playmaker, Yalah Ominigo, in the 32nd minute of the first half.
Omonigo scored his second goal of the evening in the 50th minute, before left winger, Ebitare, made it three for Aago Pillars FC, to send Oko-Safa FC, packing out of the competition, despite their early goal.
In the first game at the Opokuma centre, Dynamic Soccer Academy, of Kolga, defeated Lion Stars two goals to one, with Zinna Igbunnu opening scoring in the 24th minute, while Izonmigha leveled up for Lion Strikers six minutes later, before defender, Michael Cross sealed victory for his team in the 76th minute.
At the Amassoma center, Ofoni United of Sagbama scored a beautiful free-kick in the 35th minute to record a one-nil victory against another Sagbama side, Adagbabiri FC, in the first game.
Captain of Adagbabiri FC, in an attempt to clear the ball from a corner-kick, handled it right in front of the 18-yards, which resulted to a free-kick, which was well taken my midfielder, Ikoko Reno.
The second game at the Amassoma Centre, which can be described as one of the most entertaining games so far, witnessed Agbere Football Club of Sagbama, progressing to the next round, after their superb display and show of skills, humbled Isoko United, by four goals to one.
A beautiful combination inside the danger area of Isoko united met, Jersey No. 10, Kinglsey Fred, who did not hesitate to find the back of the net with a simple tap, just 8 minutes in to the game.
The Isoko lads, despite a goal down, came out to mount pressure on their rivals, which paid off in the 23rd minute, as their reliable striker, Eyeh Othuke, after dribbling past three defenders, slipped the ball under the hands of the well-stretched goal keeper, Osagie Onisodumeya, to level up.
The second half was more interesting, and entertaining, with Agbere FC, proving their supremacy over their opponents, by not only adding three more goals, but commanded good possession, and showing individual display of skills to the admiration of fans and supporters.
The Odi Center, saw Boro United of Kolokuma/Opokuma defeating White Angels, also from the same Council Area, by two goals to nil, with Doubra Philip scoring at the 20th minute, and Seigha, completing the double at the 39th minute to progress to the next round.
Meanwhile Active Club of Kolokuma/Opokuma, also progressed to the next round, by beating their opponentn, Arie United of the same council area, 5-4, on penalties, after a tough 90 minutes, ended goalless in the second game played at the Odi Centre.
