The Bayelsa state government has lauded Governor Henry Seriake Dickson for his display of wisdom and professionalism as he today swore in five new commissioners and two new permanent secretaries.
Commissioner for information and orientation, Hon. Jonathan Obuebite says that the appointment of the commissioners and permanent secretaries with a charge to align themselves with the policies and programmes of the present administration.
Giving the charge at the Executive chamber of the newly dedicated Governor’s office in Yenagoa, the governor said their appointments was premise on the need to reposition various sectors of the economy of the state and ensure adequate delivery of our campaign promises to the people.
The newly Assigned portfolios are, Commissioners of Health, Women Affairs, Tourism Development, and Ijaw National Affairs.
The commissioner adds that the governor in his wisdom have once again carefully chosen men and women who will and can drive the vision of restoration.
Obuebite says that with all the governor is putting in all the sectors, Bayelsans would now start feeling a sense of belonging as well as the impact of a working governor.
