ADAKA BORO LIVES ON, 45 years,the stuggle continues

The Nigerian Gazette 45 YEARS LATER, A HEROIC BURIAL AWAITS BORO IN BAYLESA On May 16th, the remains of late Major Isaac Adaka Boro, which was exhumed from the Ikoyi cemetery, Lagos last month, where he was buried 45 years ago, will be buried. The internment will take place at the Heroes Park in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. It will be recalled that in April this year, the bones of late Boro were exhumed from the cemetery after a search that lasted 4 months. They were sent to the United Kingdom where a DNA test was conducted. Boro takes an undisputed place in history as the hero of the Niger Delta struggle and symbol of Ijaw nation’s agitation for self-determination. As he goes home to his final resting place, we pray the Almighty to grant his soul eternal rest.
