NATIONAL ASSEMBLY PRIMARIES; LADY ADEGA FESTUS-OMONI, 4 OTHERS EMERGE AS PDP CANDIDATES IN BAYELSA
Female contestant, Sodaguwo Adega Festus-Omoni representing Ogbia Federal Constituency and four others at the weekend emerged as winners at the end of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party’s House of Representatives primaries held at the weekend in Bayelsa state.
Others are; Douye Diri, (Yenagoa/Kolokuma Federal Constituency), Nimbofa Ayawei, (Southern Ijaw), Sodaguwo Adega Festus-Omoni, (Ogbia) and Fred Agbedi (Sagbama/Ekeremor).
This was contained in a release announced by the Chairman of Electoral Panel, General Idi Adamu, (rtd) and made available to newsmen.
The party primaries were held in the five Federal constituencies that made up the state under a peaceful atmosphere and this was confirmed by the representative of the party from its National Secretariat.
Commending the members of the party for their peaceful disposition, General Adamu retd said this has further confirmed the position of the leadership of the party that, election is not a do or die affair.
